Not really. They lost there's not coming back WW(there might still be a slim chance in the US) all they can do is continue to release great games and not screw up their next system.

Microsoft was never going to win WW, even last gen eventually PS3 came back because of their brand power WW.

Microsoft with the Xbox one simply need to focus on America and UK-Europe. They have over 45% of market share in both America and UK when compare to PS4. Aggressive marketing and maintain price advantage and they could over take PS4 in America. At the beginning of 2016 Xbox one is selling on par with PS4 and it's being outsold almost 2:1 in America.

Well you have a point but i dont think a price cut is really needed but maybe a release of the xbox one slim with a cheaper price would do.

$50 isn't a significant difference when it comes to getting what you want. Either you want one or you don't. People seem to prefer what Plantation is doing.

Seems like we're all in agreement! It's a Vgchartz first!

I made a thread way way back before the first price-drop announcement to explain why xb1 wouldn't be able to compete, even at 329$.

I think it's still true now, and even more so that this isn't a difference they can make back through price, unless it's a very significant one. 100$+

I don't think that Sony is doing a great job, and Sony just haven't messed up with their PS4 lineup. PS4 has some great exclusive franchises such as Uncharted which should sell lots but also next God of War and Last of Us games (assuming these will eventually come out on PS4). Games like Bloodborne is not a commercial monster, but have a faithful fanbase.

However, I do think that Microsoft is doing a bad job with the Xbox1 game lineup. Halo franchise is no longer a juggernaut, and Gears of War seems to be at a decline. Also, the casuals have left the xbox. Kinect adventures xbox360 sold 21.75 million and Kinect sports xbox360 sold 6.2 million. However, Kinect sports rivals Xbox1 have only sold 0.5 million.

Currently, there is not 1 must-have game on xbox1.

I disagree. MS should focus on profit with the xbox one, gaining goodwill with players and building (not buying) more studios for next gen. It lost this gen already. One of MS' biggest issues in the console market is that they can't keep up with sony or nintendo in producing exclusive games. Another issue is the lack of diversity with each gen's game libraries. It also needs to treat the WW market seriously instead of just focusing mainly on the US.

Absolutely. Imo a $350 PS4 requires a $250 Xbox One ($200 if they actually wanted to win).

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

Focus Worldwide is better than focus on just 2 markets, the UK, and the USA, are already Big Market, the markets that growth, are the most Important, if Someday, Ira, Brazil, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, became a 4 Billions + US$ Market (each one individually), and Microsoft, don't invest there now, they will lose more now for Playstation, than they lose for Playstation, on the Whole europe.

I don't think they are doing terrible with Xbox One compared to the Windows Phones, lol. They keep dropping the ball and could've been doing much better with it. Even though I'm more of a fan of PS, I still want Xbox competing well. Competition keeps these companies on their toes. That's what we need.

I Want Sega, back on the Console Market, I'm following the developers of the DreamCast 2, on Facebook, and Twitter, and i think that Sega, or Nintendo, are better competitor for Sony, than Microsoft, because Microsoft, is more PC-Centric, with those DRM, 100% Online, those kind of things are of the PC Market, that is another Market than the Console Market.
