I had a long extended weekend and I just happened to find Lupe vs Daigo on twitch. It went to the last round of the last fight. Each barely had health left. For a minute it looked like Daigo was going to destroy Lupe, but when Lupe put on that V-Trigger :O
That was incredibly intense. At the end Lupe was just super respectful and super hyped at the same time as anyone would probably be if they played Daigo, much less beat him. He gave him a jacket, don't know what it was but it was probably something he would have given as a gesture of good will win or lose. Honestly, that was just pure fun to watch. I don't know what else to say. May look into getting it by the summer or fall.

EDIT: hmm... Seeing some of these comments made me realize I should have probably put more context into it. I honestly thought people would be much more informed about Lupe Fiasco than me, much less the fight. I'll just go off memory so please feel free to correct.
Lupe, from what I remember, in context, is a rapper that's into games such as Street Fighter and has been since SF II Turbo. I heard somewhere he even at times incoperates games into his music. I think there was some mention of SFV some months ago from here, blah blah blah, at one point interacts with Daigo, they have a light back and forth, blah blah blah, Mark Julio finds out hours later, blah blah, they all agree to an exhibition match... My friend told me about this and it kind of went in one ear and out the other because I was busy and it was just a bad time.
Now to the exhibition itself, Lupe, in addition to actually knowng how to play, was coached and watched replays to the game prior to the match. That and I believe he had an extensive amount of time to play the game and coaching prior to the exhibition. Daigo played the game in an exhibition several months ago. I think it was E3 I forget, but I watched it in September. From what I remeber from then and what I've seen from this fight, Daigo wasn't too familar with the game and that unfamiliarity didn't change in this match. He's been generally playing this game like SFIV and from what I've seen of gameplay then and now, things have changed here and there. Anti-airs and defintely Ryu's medium hits have do not have the same results and as long range respectively. Between focus and V-Trigger and such changed and pandering more to fundamentals rather then naturally higher level play to appeal to newcomers and non-pros, this has not been a simple rehash of fighting mechanics.
As BraLod and Nem generally much summed it up. I wish I replied and said it earlier but thems the breaks.
I don't get the not a major upset, huge feat, and overaction comments tbh. Is it because I used words such as "incredibly intense" or the description of the game before I found and added the video? Perhaps I overly hyped it in that regard. I felt that, at least the general details of what I said were obvious and its not as intense as some tournament play here and there. I thought it was pretty fun to watch and some in that regard are not seeing it for that rather than something like the Daigo parry video. As an exhibition match it was fun and exciting to watch. Not EVO or G3 level, but still quite entertaining to see it all play out as an exhibition match before the game's launch. Its not going down in any gaming history books, but it was really fun to see.Except the commentators, with one commentator in particular making my ears bleed though.
