I'm glad it's getting hammered the way it is.
I feel no game with a full price should be released in this state, and I don't care about "free DLC". Should have been released for much less if they planned all this extra stuff to be added, or for fuck sake, just delay the game until the Summer.

That's just it most sf fans don't want the game delayed so people can enjoy the sf story. All I need is a training room and online matches and I'm good. The rest of you can wait for the riveting sf story coming in

Was everything omitted from SF5 known to the public before release?

I know Basil put up a list of stuff that wasn't in the game, if so, then that's more or less the general public's fault for not knowing about the game. And if that's the case people probably shouldn't complain, as like you said, they just wanted it to play some story mode.

I still feel games need to be released with more content than what SF 5 advertised, but that's my own opinion.

360 for $200 or XB1 for $350?

In both examples I choose SFV and XB1 due to future proofing.

Oh wow, terrible comparison.

Those are platforms, they give you access to many games the other may not. I'm comparing two games available on the same console.

The lesson is still the same.

Why buy an XB1 when I can play 1000 games on the 360 and for much cheaper? The answer should be obvious.

What broken games have reviewed better?

Why, The MCC, of course.

You mean the game with four great campaigns? There was a still a ton of content there while the servers were being fixed. Even four player split screen local multiplayer if you were desperate!

You know what's even worse? Removing multiplayer like Uncharted Collection. :-p

No, terrible comparison. Xbox 360 also has a ton of games you can't play on X1.

Also, you're actualy bolstering my argument. People new to SF might as well play USFIV now because it has more content then SFV will have for a long while. A year from now SFV will probably be $20.

Single player had issues as well. It released very broken but reviewed well. It's why you can't say a game gets reviewed harshly or positively with any certainty because reviewers are all over the board from one game to the next.  It's just the way it is and will remain because reviews are subjective.

It's  also why I can absolutely see why people see biases in reviews whether the Xbox brand ones you hinted at or the Sony ones the person you replied to sees.

Thats the point, I am using your flawed logic.

Xbox 360 has content that Xbox One doesn't and it has more content than Xbox One so why buy it? People new to Xbox might as well get the 360 now instead of Xbox One. Xbox One will be $200 eventually with tons of games, better wait.

Personally I would buy XB1 for its superior content. As I would buy SFV over USIV.

OT: Interesting to see the metacritic go down overtime, as if the media is taking the general opinion into account.

Fact/Point - The MCC launched broken, and reviewed better than games with no such issue(s), no matter how much that bothers you to admit.

And no, releasing a fully functional game is never worse than launching one with the problems The Master Chief Collection saw, despite how "good" other sections of the games are.

You're grasping at straws. MCC had tons of offline content. All the multiplayer content was there at launch as well, it could be used offline with four split screens. The servers were just broken at launch, not the game as a whole.

Even with broken online MCC had more content than a fully functional Uncharted Collection. Actually, MCC didn't score better because of the server issues and I respect that.

My logic isn't flawed, but SFV's lack of content is. That's why it isn't scoring great.

I'd love to be able to continue this chat with you, but not here (as I noted). PM me if you want to discuss it further.

Nothing to discuss in my opinion, you know my stance and I understand yours.

I can explain this.

Titanfall benefitted critically for having fresh gameplay. I just noticed virtually every reviewer on Metacritic enjoyed it, which is rather surprising for a multiplayer only game. I'm not a huge multiplayer FPS fan, but I spent a lot of time with TItanfall as well.

Street Fighter V is fun, but SFIV was very similar in core gameplay had more content. SFIV benefiited greatly for breating new life into a classic IP. SFV doesn't do that.

That's subjective as I own titanfall and disagree with you.

You disagree, but I think many agree. So lets agree to disagree!
