Its as good as Captain Toad!
If anybody told me a week ago that SFV would be under 80 on meta I wouldn't have believe it.
70 or below is absolute nonsense and a complete overreaction.
These review scores are slightly misleading, SFV is a fighting game and with fighting games there's one things that matters way more than anything else and that's how well it plays when you're fighting, and from almost everybody I've spoke to and read about say the actual fighting gameplay is brilliant, they say the controls work perfectly and feels really fluid and smooth. It's getting a minus 80% score simply because it's mainly an online game at the moment, but people arnt going to read into this and just think it's a completely bad game.
I understand capcom is to blame for this and they had it coming but it seems a tad bit bad that it's going to give people the wrong impression of the game.

I second this. It's really scary how scores are extremely inconsistent. There are many 90s but at the same time many 50s as well. It's really weird, but maybe it would have performed better if it was multiplat. Content seemed to be a major problem as well.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

It is multiplat though. It's on PC and PS4. As for the low scores, most of them do say that the gameplay mechanics are fantastic and it is really fun to play. The common problem for everyone seems to be the lack of content. I think it's obvious that if the game launched with an appropriate amount of content, it would scored in the high 80s or low 90s.

Exactly. The major problem seems to be the amount of content since the core mechanics are really praised. But I hope they review their scores once more content is released, similar to what happened to Splatoon.

Some sites probably will, but most definitely won't. Also, changing their reviews scores later won't change the metacritic score.

Unfortunately, I agree... most of them won't. But I didn't knew about the meta score doesn't changing; this is interesting.

They should do the same for Killer Instinct as well then.
