I would love a return to cartridges, honestly. Considering SD cards could be mass produced at a cheap price, would eliminate a lot of loading times, and would reduce the heat of the system, I would go for a return of the cartridge. Also, make DS-3DS backwards compatible, at this rate there's no reason for not having that.

There's a not-insignificant chance of that happening for both consoles. Time will tell of course, but at the very least the handheld will almost certainly continue to use SD cards.

Considering that the NX will either double as a handheld or will have a handheld version, size looks the part.

Inb4 too small imho. how is it supposed to cool down beeing so little ? is there even space for fan+2USB ports+whatever other cable needed ?

The size of the model i made is 120mm x 140mm x 40mm enough room for a fan and heatsinks.

One other thing is if Nintendo choose to go with HBM with the NX SoC then thats going to cut down on space used by the SoC to about a quarter of what would be needed, compared to GDDR or DDR that xbox1 ps4 use.

That´s the first thing that came to my mind. Just make it the less apple as possible. Make it fluorescent blue or pink, but if it looks like an apple product well, I just hate apple products.

I would really love it if it was super small. If the patent of the discless console is true then the NX could be really small (and silent). They could make a really small NES, but colorful, retro but modern in some way.

I'm aware it looks a bit like an apple product but minor design alterations would change that.

Well it's not fluorenscent but it's got some colour.

Aren't the WiiU's insides really small, and the only reason for being like it is because of the hard drive and the DVD reader?

That DVD reader basically take 1/4 quarter of Wii U hardware, now imagine we got card reader instead of DVD reader like probably we will have on NX. :)

Decided to do a 3d render with a slightly different design. Also added USB 3.0 ports on the front.
