Xbox fans are left once the site killed Jay. Shika's done a good job repairing the fallout, but until MS shows something big, it's only going to lessen.

I feel like there is a slight rebound occuring atm (from a very low base) in part thanks to Shika's efforts.

We actually tried to address some of the imbalance at a mod level by hiring another Xbox Mod. But you know, he quit.

This might have been true for him but for the majority of the more active users that left this couldnt be further away from the truth. I speak as someone who was active in XBE, as someone who only joined because of XBE and someone who is part of a healthy Xbox skype group. The most active Xbox users in XBE didnt care for the sales (from what i could see), i think everybody knew Xbox One was gonna get destroyed in sales but it never bothered them, XBE was healthy because it was a safe haven for positive opinions on Xbox, without the worry that someone was gonna attack you over those opinions. The reason why most of those users left or become less active was due to the way Jays ban was handled (Anybody who is in his cirlce of friends knows exactly what happend, but its not up for debate here) and due to XBE being closed.

Yep. There might have been a small handful who left because of sales but a majority left/post way less for the reasons you listed, plus how toxic Xbone discussion was here in general.

Well, I mean, look at how things have gone since this gen started. All of the big Xbox fans either left because the fan base wasn't big enough, or went crazy and got banned.

It definitely is unfortunate.. Having a diversity is always a nice thing, but there isn't a quick remedy or anything of the sort..

I personally only go to Nintendo threads because I'm not familiar with Sony and Microsoft games. As a Nintendo fan, it's difficult to expand into other fanbases without owning a system, and even if I do, I would not be able to keep up to date. I remember early on, I tried to post on all threads but I quickly realized that things moved way to fast for me to keep up..

So while it would be great for all three bases to thrive, I'm not really sure what could be done to fix things up :/

I would love to own other consoles and be more active with the sony and microsoft topics, but I have money for only one , I will say I'm not getting the NX day one and if it flops like the wii u I'm getting another console (or a better PC)

There's quite a few xbox users on here that are pretty cool and can break away from the PS vs MS topics. They are fun to converse with but there's some who take this shit too personally and will bring past drama into the current discussion. They end up getting banned over it sooner or later. The same can be said of the other "side" of it. It greatly helps if a person is able to converse about other topics besides just ps vs xbox related topics if they want it to be pleasant here. That way they can get their mind off of the war and get to know others outside of their thread.
