Forums - Nintendo - Why not re-release MP1 and 2 bundle for Wii?!

I don't get Nintendo... Metroid Prime 2 didn't do really well! Only like 1.2 million! Why aren't they re-releasing Metroid Prime 1 and Metroid Prime 2 in a bundle (something like collector's edition Prime bundle or something) for 30$ or something and add the controls of Metroid Prime 3 in them?!... I'd buy it! Controls were my greatest let-down in the first 2 of the prime-series!

Just an idea though, what do you guys think?!

Its a nice ideal but I don't think it would ever happen. If they were to re-release them they would re-release them separately and with GC controls.

You don't understand Nintendo because they should feel that 1.2 million for Metroid Prime wasn't enough and should try to milk the franchise dry by tacking on Wii controls to two games that have gone and went? Sounds more like the bogus practices of most third party developers with their franchises. I've played Prime and would rather Nintendo allocate resources to new projects. Not too mention the forum haters would jump all over Wii again as a two Gamecubes duct taped together console if Gamecube games start reappearing as ports on a console that can already play the original through it's backwards compatibility. Not to mention that the cost of a used Prime and Prime 2 is easily under or around $20 at this point.

I hate the new controls, and thought that MP1 and MP2 had the best of any game I've ever played bar SM64 and its derivatives. So, I wouldn't buy it.

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

I'd buy it, but Nintendo will likely never put it out.

Somebody read my post... That was a fast topic creation!

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Because they would rather spend their time releasing new games...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Metroid Prime and Echoes were already great games, should let classics be classics not milk them to the point of getting bored with them.

I'll buy it, but its unlikely to come out with MP3 controls.

Actually, I found the one weakness of Prime 3 was that it exposed the Wiimote's greatest flaw: Not enough easily accessible thumb buttons.

I loved the ability to switch between so many different weapon types in Prime 1. But the Wiimote doesn't really allow for that very well, which is why we simply had our cannon upgrade.

Getting Prime 1 & 2 to work would probably be much more difficult than it seems.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
