@wfz

thats one of the most stupid things I have ever heard

your last line ofcourse

 Why's that? Because I was having a little fun and joking around? Honestly, you guys here have a tendency to take things WAY too seriously..

 Anyways I do miss the GOOD super monkey ball games though. Hopefully Sega will put out some more good ones eventually. All they have to do is stick to the formula in the first two games really.

Around the Network

Diomedes and Darthdevidem01, why must you two turn any thread that can be into a pissing contest between Nintendo and the rest of the world?

Nintendo is the largest key component to Sega's emerging comeback this generation. Sonic has finally found new life through Wii and in general Sega's projects on the Wii have brought them far greater returns than any of their projects on other consoles. Expect to see future games (of franchises not already committed to HD gaming) to be made so that there will at least be a Wii version.

Mature Games and franchises like Virtua Fighter, Streets of Rage, Valkyrie of the Battlefield, Condemmed and Imabikisou are unfortunately fast being relegated to niche status in the market. Yakuza3 is doing very well but its true success will be measured in its success outside of Japan.

In the mean time Sega is finding rewarding yeilds in the casual market with Mario & Sonic Olympics and could see similar success with Sega Super Star Golf. In addition games like Sonic and the Seven Rings has achieve immense success despite flaws establishing a formula which could benefit future 3D Sonic games and Sonic's cameo in Brawl will no doubt be a celebrated bonus for Sega as well. Let us not forget the new 2.5D Sonic game comming out as well which could very well rejuvinate Sonic as never before seen and a Sonic RPG for the DS being made by the legendary Bioware.

This is not to say the core and casual markets have not been with out their follies either. Nights was a flop for the Wii and Monkey Ball Wii was a relatively unheard of launch title. But none the less Sega is finally seeming to find a balance of success, seemingly learning to exploit the strengths rather than sucumbing to the weaknesses of their infamous development teams and learning how to exploit the mass appeal of the Wii to breath new life into franchises.

Expect to see Skies of Arcadia 2 for the Wii. Possibly a Phantasy Star 5 for the Wii in a deal to promote the new play and pay online option for the Wii. Jet Set Radio would be perfect for the Wii. Panzer Dragoon would be an excellent game to show LAIR how its done. Shenmue3 would be a huge bonus for whatever console could grab it. A port of the PS2 remake of Nights would be a great bonus for the Wii too, though its doubtful we'll ever see it given the sales of Nights Wii.

I see Sega growing closer and closer to Nintendo in years to come.

Sega has made a comeback do to putting Sonic in a game with Mario. Genius move. With all of the money that they are making off of that they will be able to put out quality games. Putting out their light gun games on Wii was smart too. I say good for them. They have been eating a lot of crap from a lot of people in recent years. I'd like to see Dreamcast 2. Probably won't happen but hey.

P.S. I liked Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz. The main game and a few of the minigames. Bad minigames brought that title down. Monkey Wars is awesome though.

If SEGA realizes that we want a Jet Set Radio Sequel for next gen consoles then I my belief in them will be solidified. Yakuza 3 was the first step <3.

On that note, looking forward to Valkyrie of the Battlefield.
