It was a disappointment sales-wise. People really had huge expectations for that game and its only sold so-so.

I like to see Sega doing better recently. I use to not like them back in the day because I was Nintendo. I'm glad they are getting some success on the software front.
Good for Sega. Universe at war should sell well as it pretty much the only title of its kind for the 360. I just beat Streets of Rage 2 over the weekend with a buddy. We need a sequel to that Sega...techno music intact and all...
Yeah, it definitely seems like Sega is on the upswing. Of course, many of those games you listed are either merely being published by Sega (Condemned), or are being developed by Sega developers that have always been great (Viking Battle of Asgard, from the creators of the Total War series).
If Sonic Unleashed turns out great, then it will prove that Team Sonic has returned to form, and then I will start believing in Sega again.

imabikisou isn't even a game.... |
The same could be said about most Wii and DS offerings .
Imabiki-Sou is a game, it appeared in the top 5 for Japan one week. So the ownage in this thread is immense.
To be honest, Sega's on a rise but they're still going to need to increase quality in their games and improve their name to make gains.
I hope they do, Sega made one of my favorite games of this generation (Virtua Fighter 5) so I'd hate to see them droop further.
So the dark years were during/right after the Dreamcast, and now Sega is progressively getting better?
*Looks at super monkey ball games*
...Looks to be the opposite. :P The first two monkey ball games were amazing, and the next two that were put out over the years were absolutely atrocious.
I'd rather Sega be doing horribly as a company and putting out great Super Monkey Ball games than the other way around....

The Dreamcast was one of Sega's most shining times. The company's dark years was after it was after they went 3rd party and squandered its IP. If they make a come back then good. Right now they're a pachinko company so even if their games start going up in quality I will never feel secure about buying shares of the company.
