CRash is not sony's mascot edit your thread

 he was originally so he can count. The new crash game isnt out yet so let him still fall under that.

But if you really want a mascot for Sony... choose Ratchet or Jak.

he was never sony's property so how can he be a sony mascot???  i would say... ratchet or jak too but not crash

 #1 reason MGS4 is PS3 exclusive  xbox is too loud for snake to sneak around
PSNTAG= Xander732

You forgot about Blinx!

(i'm not sure if Microsoft's cutesy mascot was supposed to be blinx or the mouse from sneakers...or the boat from bloodwake).

Have you seen the unedited version of the UK commercial?

Holy crap!

Commander Keen anybody ??? well nobody can reach Mario, makes me feel sorry for Luigi, Sonic never got over loosing his hardware, Crash needs to show some new tricks if he wants to stay legit but the PS1 games were pretty cool, another question, who started it all, who jumped the first platform in a vidoegame ??? was it that pitfall guy ??? he´s the first I can think of, anybody know for sure ????

Mario is the best. No arguing. Mario 64 made me a Nintendo fanboy the first night I played it and made me buy the N64 the other day. It got me into console gaming and it convinced me of 3d games. Before I was sceptical of both. I still love 2d Mario games, but I only got to expirience them in the form of Gianna Sisters, which I played to death. I never liked the Sonic games, neither 2d, 3d is worse. (Well, didn't play Secret Rings, which I will try.) The racing through did nothing for me. Crash had not those perfect controls that Mario always had, and added to that the lack of freedom in the 3d environment, it was never to be.

a demon possessed, cracked out baby on oxycotin is sonys mascot? COOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

You're wrong...

"Mascot

The original Crash Bandicoot was one of the earliest 3D platformers and was a major seller. Sony unofficially made Crash the mascot for the PlayStation.

Crash was often compared to Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, as the three of them were mascots of their respective consoles. Both the original Crash Bandicoot and Super Mario 64 were early 3D platformers, with the cancelled Sonic X-treme intented to be Sonic's answer to these games in that time. After the first three Crash games, much like Mario and Sonic before him, Crash branched out, starring in a racing game, analogous to Super Mario Kart and Sonic R, and a party game, analogous to Mario Partyand Sonic Shuffle (although this was on the Dreamcast rather than on the then ill-fated Sega Saturn). All of this contributed to the perception that Crash was Sony's equivalent of Mario and Sonic.

However, with the release of Crash games on other platforms, this is no longer the case. Despite now being a third-party franchise, some still believe Crash to be an equivalent of Mario. Sonic suffered a similar multi-platform fate, although he is still associated to the Sega brand being the official mascot of the company, something which is not the case of Crash. While Sonic's rivalry with the two has ended, it is still unknown if Crash and Mario are still equivalent to each other.

Crash was also influential in reviving the character archetype of an anthropomorphic animal starring in a platform game. This practice was pioneered by Sonic the Hedgehog a few years earlier and achieved improved popularity during and after the Crash era with characters such as Klonoa, Banjo, Conker the Squirrel, Spyro the Dragon, Blinx, Ratchet and Sly Cooper. However, it should be noted that animal mascots littered the 16-bit era with such characters as Sparkster, Bubsy the Bobcat, Aero the Acrobat, Awesome Possum, Mr. Nutz, and others."
