what games? and how many years ago?
some games, casual people know? because im a "gamer" and don't even know 1 game sony made for pc

on the ms side people at least know flight simulator and age of empires
+ they start publishing on pc again, recently

Ever heard of Sony Online Entertainment?

Yeah and that didn't go so well and was sold off as effective dead weight, they no longer own that sector which is now rebanrded and opatreed by someone else. Also all of those titles were online only based MMO types, MS's games pubbed had some popular recieved SP games as well as MP.

MS on the other hand still have their own ties still intact.

I know all that about Microsoft. That's not really relevent though.

My point is that the same would apply for any of the companies. If they would be owned by a single entity, there is nothing that would prevent them from releasing on PC if they so wanted. Nintendo and Sony may not be doing it, but if they controlled all the big titles being released, either everyone would game on their consoles, or they'd release those titles on as many viable platform as possible.

Except it is because they still have a stake, they still delievr at times comapred to the others ebcause they know that market exists, the other two simply choose to ignore that market because it won't adhere or adapt to them let alone them not being able to have it all, otherwise we'd have seen movements years ago.

The single entity part doesn't matter because in the end when you are owned by a single entity and are not autonomous then you are to do as that entity tells you to. It's like you are trying to say that even if they are all as one they still won't release for PC or that they culd release for PC currently, the dfiference here is that they don't bother because I explained that above already.

@Bolded, yeah that would be a beautiful monopoly for them to have but not good for a PC gamewr which was why I preffered Kapi's option where exclusives are no longer a thing and you know as well as I do that PC isn't owned by a company, it's a platform where devs sell to so bno one can moneyhat exclusives or buy a company to make games exclusively for them, with PC it's up to the dev entirely or the hardware that dictates.

You seem to forget that it is a "what if" scenario. The current state of things wouldn't dictate the situation of a near monopoly (near, since there would still be some indies). There wouldn't be any moneyhatting anymore since a single company would own most everything. What would be left to moneyhat other than some indie titles? And moneyhat from who? Your own company? xD

If every big publishers were owned by a single entity, the gaming landscape would definitely change. What you assume about each companies right now wouldn't necessarily apply in such a scenario.

This isn't meant to be a wishlist for your favourite platform lol.

Realistically Microsoft if they wanted to play hardball would buy everyone.

Sony would probably pick up the Japanese devs as the Japanese government would ensure no foreign buyouts.

Nintendo didn't even buy RARE and they were their golden egg, so I cannot see them buying anyone TBH.

As for Eurepoean 3rd party, I am sure they would prefer to be sold off to Sony, but who knows where that would land with Microssoft big pockets.

lol That reminds me of those that work in the bank and take a cut/raise while going on a 2 week vacation.

I prefer it via Kapi's way regardless of the 3 divided properties scenario.

Im not sure, but I think it would be foolish for Microsoft to not get Respawn entertainment.

except for Ouya

SONY: Square Enix, Capcom, From Software, Ubisoft, Insomniac, Activision, Konami, Kojima Productions, Koei Tecmo, Bandai Namco, Nippon Ichi, Level 5

MICROSOFT: EA, Valve

NINTENDO: Sega, Platinum Games

Sony's massive market share, as well as their previous affiliations, score them much of the field. Nintendo's dealings with Platinum Games and Sega earn them both companies, and EA seems like a good fit for MS whereas Valve would stay PC (MS's Territory).

Nintendo: None, Third Party games don't sell on Nintendo

Monster Hunter, Yokai, Monster Strike, Puzzles and Dragons, Shovel Knight, Shantae, Shin Megami Tensei, and Dragon Quest would like a word with you.

When these series have their best selling games on Nintendo systems, you can't really claim Third Party doesn't sell on Nintendo. Sure some don't, but if they're good games (not cheap or half-assed ports or something) and some advertisement (of course that's another thing), then they can sell.

OT: I'll have to think about it for a while since I'm on my phone responding to this topic and all.

How TF are people pairing up Nintendo and Bamco? Does Nintendo even get any of their games?

Nintendo hardly gets Bamco games but Bamco is pretty used to working with Nintendo's IPs, they co-developed Smash 4 (and Brawl too iirc), they're working on Pokkén and of course they have lots of minor projects on the 3DS...

Personally, this line up would make me very happy

Nintendo - Square Enix, Bamco, Sega, Level 5, Atlus, Capcom (Actually, just all the Japanese devs)

Sony and MS can then have the rest.
