Well with the latest Pokemon game released was already a remake in 2014 will it really be another remake before a new 6th generation?, Maybe they could announce a Yellow remake for the future or even potentially a launch NX title but surely the next Pokemon would be a new entry rather than a remake.

Huh, huh, maybe I don't get it, but this is just the announcement for a figure, right ? Why are you expecting a whole new game based on this ?

Not sure how I'd feel about a Yellow remake, I guess it depends on what features they add upon the original.

They could always do Pokemon Z on 3DS next year, Black & White 2 came out in 2012 over a year after the 3DS's launch (Japan as well)

I would be very happy with a gen 1 remake seeing Kanto in 3D and having the modern gameplay tweaks.

Hoping that if it happens in the Elite 4 Lance has 6 Pokemon and a Mega Dragonite he was the champion in gen 1 before Blue beat him so it makes sense.

Either way what i want most if it happens is a hard mode like B/W2 but selectable from the get go this time.

I might be one of the only people that don't want a yellow remake. I'm sick of Kanto.

We've been there in Pokemon Blue/Red, Yellow, Gold/Silver/Crystal, FireRed/LeafGreen and HeartGold/Soulsilver.

I really don't want another Pokemon game featuring Kanto, I think we need to move on.

Pokémon Y and Pokémon Z: Pretty much like BW2, now set in a extended version of Kalos and you can go back to Kanto by plane.

Considering that the story of XY and ORAS happen on alternate realities from all the other games, i could see they doing a yellow remake, and they could give themselves the liberty to make thing a little more different.

Actually for me it's pretty much the opposite, I'm setting up for Yellow because I would prefer Z, we got several hints leading to the Battle Frontier coming to Kalos and  Kalos is also my second favourite region. Instead with a Yellow remake we wouldn't see more than a few new areas and certainly there would be no battle frontier...
