The day Link finally gets a voice is the day my mind will explode.

Oooh, not that one. Nor the "excuse me, princess" one either! xD

Good, I don't want them breaking that tradition anytime soon.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Good no reason to change that.

Thats good cause VA is always risky for Zelda and Nintendo doesnt need anymore of that this gen cause if the VA turned out to be not to the fans liking... RIP

Maybe in the future when they have a more successful console gen they can try it

Good, they can fuck off if they give him voice acting. Or if they ever let Samus speak again after that horribly failed experiment.

Samus spoke in Super Metroid as well.

Just a few lines of text about the events in the first two games. The actual storytelling is of visual nature.

Samus talks in Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission as well. The problem wasn't samus talking, it was her characterization.

I think the far more interesting thing to take away from the story is that he's open to the idea, something I thought was an impossibility.well I must admit that I have always been when 100% against the idea of Link speaking, I have also been very adamant against the idea of that link is some sort of avatar for the player. He is not. He is his own individual character with a distinct and common personality throughout all of his incarnations. As long as that characterization remains consistent, I am not so against the idea of him speaking. I would imagine him having a similar personality to Shichika from katanagatari. If they can nail that with dialogue, I welcome it.

Seriously though, no dialogue trees. They are shitty in absolutely every game.

This has literally nothing to do whatsoever with voice acting. It addresses specifically the subject of Link having dialogue of his own in Zelda game. Only Link.  Nothing on audio. Link could theoretically speak through text like everyone else. Nothing at all was said about dubbing the game in general, so that is still 100% on the table.

Thats true but I doubt it will happen when it comes to Zelda U. We will see when it comes out though

Speech is silver but silence is golden.

I wonder what the grunts and battle cry will sound like in this game. Zelda U Link definitely looks like a teen but seems younger than TP Link and maybe even OoT Link. But maybe thats just the art style making the world look more colorful and smooth.
