Animal Crossing NX - Early Fall 2017

Wouldn't surprise me. Nintendo knows this is it for them, if NX doesn't succeed they're done in hardware. So they have marshalled their resources for one last stand.

The moment amiibo Festival was revealed it was pretty much confirmed that the Wii U would never see a real Animal Crossing game. It's sad but understandable.

Don't forget Retro Studio's next project which should release sometime in 2017.

Oh that's exactly what happened! As if they'd go 4 years without starting on the next installment to one of their most popular franchises. If the NX is console + handheld, then that's all the more reason to switch over to it since AC sells better when it can be played better on the go.

I feel like if the Wii U did better, there would have been an AC game, but since that isn't the case, it is likely coming to NX. The Plaza thing was likely a test for the game. However, I would not buy it. I've severed my ties with it after New Leaf.
