Honestly, what does "I feel like a women inside" mean? You want to look like a woman? isn't that similar to people wanting smaller noses, bigger breasts, thicker penises? Why is the line drawn only when I want my body parts to look more feminine? All fine by me of course, everyone is free to do what they want with their body I am just wondering how wanting female genitalia is different from wanting other body parts to look different .

I am a man I don't feel like "a man inside". I don't feel anything. I am just me.

Why are we defining ourselves with superficial terms?

Ofcourse a straight man understands the pain of a transgender woman living inside a man's body.  :S

I don't understand, that's why I am asking, what's the difference between:

1.A woman who feels trapped inside an ugly woman's body and wants to have plastic sugery

2.A woman who feels trapped inside a man's body and wants to have plastic surgery

Both are living in bodies they don't like, both crave to look different.

The problem is in your wording.  You don't say an ugly woman who wants plastic surgery is really a "pretty woman trapped inside of an ugly body." No, she's just a woman who wants to get her body cut and chopped to make it look a way she feels is better. So in the same way a man who wants to get his body chopped up to look more like a woman is just that. He's not a "woman trapped inside a man's body", that's just silly talk. No matter what parts he gets cut and stitched, he's still genetically a man, just a man that had a doctor cut him up a bit.

And yes, both people are free to do whatever makes them happy.

See, sorry, but not anywhere in my honesty I could ever accept that person is a woman nor I can understand how s/he would feel like one.

I'm not saying to ban people from doing w/e they want with their bodies, but if instead of gloryfying it like the media does today, it is treated like the condition it is and encourage the individuals who suffer from it to go get psychological treatment, maybe these people would end up in better conditions than if they'd go through this "transition".

Embracing this transgender thing seems to me like we're all agreeing to play pretend with these people.

Ehh people with gender dysmorphia have high rate of suicidal tendencies and deaths because of bullying etc. Their transition is what usually saves them from that.

Perhaps it should be considered a mental illness. Sucides, depression, anxiety, etc are all associated.

I think if She had spent the 52k hiring bodyguards it would have done a better job to make the bullying stop than what she did to her face.

Honestly went from "I'm not comfortable in my skin" to "I'm wearing your loved ones skin"

I could safely say that my kid nephew would scream if he saw that persons face 95% sure of it.

Didn't know bodyguards could protect you from bullies bullying you with hurtful words.

And I also recall the ones with authority being the guys who you should yknow be the ones prohibiting bullying as its not acceptable to bully a person because they are different.

Plus bodyguards aren't $52K cheap and 24/7 at that.

I know the lips are messy but if she feels that she's beautiful that way then so be it.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Perhaps a therapist would have been a better option, it is a condition called gender dysphoria.

Are you saying transgenders are psychologically sick? Ehhh...

Are you saying this person isnt?

Without the lip fillers, think she's pretty alright. At the end of the day, if she's not hurting anyone and she's happy then who's to say she's psychologically sick.

Think the only problem here is where does she go from here. Almost Everyone atleast has one addiction. Hopefully she finds the balance within herself and find happiness.

She doesn't look happy to me. She kind of says it herself

Personally, I think overcoming an addiction is harder but better than indulging in it.

Maladaptive perfectionism.

Those symptoms are also associated with university life.

I have some transgender friends that take it with ease and are perfectly comfortable, without any sign of mental illness. I also know some others with have severe depression. How people cope with a situation depends on each one; you simply don't associate "Suicide" with "Transexualism" just because some transgenders, unfortunately, haven't been able to deal with the situation.
