Honestly, what does "I feel like a women inside" mean? You want to look like a woman? isn't that similar to people wanting smaller noses, bigger breasts, thicker penises? Why is the line drawn only when I want my body parts to look more feminine? All fine by me of course, everyone is free to do what they want with their body I am just wondering how wanting female genitalia is different from wanting other body parts to look different .

I am a man I don't feel like "a man inside". I don't feel anything. I am just me.

Why are we defining ourselves with superficial terms?

Ofcourse a straight man understands the pain of a transgender woman living inside a man's body.  :S

I don't understand, that's why I am asking, what's the difference between:

1.A woman who feels trapped inside an ugly woman's body and wants to have plastic sugery

2.A woman who feels trapped inside a man's body and wants to have plastic surgery

Both are living in bodies they don't like, both crave to look different.

Perhaps a therapist would have been a better option, it is a condition called gender dysphoria.

Are you saying transgenders are psychologically sick? Ehhh...

It was considered a mental illness once upon a time, until social acceptance took over. These thoughts originate in the mind and are a deviation from the norm, it is abnormal, you can change anything you like externally but internally you will always be what you are born as.

NAILED IT!!!

Using history doesn't really say anything. A lot of things were considered bad once upon a time, which are now seen as good in our societal culture. Just like a lot of things were considered good once upon a time, which are now seen as bad in our societal culture.

See, sorry, but not anywhere in my honesty I could ever accept that person is a woman nor I can understand how s/he would feel like one.

I'm not saying to ban people from doing w/e they want with their bodies, but if instead of gloryfying it like the media does today, it is treated like the condition it is and encourage the individuals who suffer from it to go get psychological treatment, maybe these people would end up in better conditions than if they'd go through this "transition".

Embracing this transgender thing seems to me like we're all agreeing to play pretend with these people.

Because one of that women needs surgical intervention to help that person overcome their gender dysmorphia. An ugly woman either with the right hairdresser make up artist, some form of dermatological interventions or if she has the money  then she can opt for surgery.Negative body image can be outgrown or ovecome with good self esteem through good company sometimes like a support system consisting of your friends and family. A transgender woman can't because they believe they are a woman. An ugly woman does not believe they are beautiful. Two different scenarios imo.

Was going to come in and say that it's her money but then I saw the pics...
