 I think you are the only one who thinks it is a mess. If american gamers were to throw their desire behind one console then there would no longer be a "mess" as you put it. But for now a tie is sales is all you get.

 

And more sources do mean a better ability to pick up new trends and avoid errors related to stores with sales and stock issues. Butdoes not make themnecessarily better.

And no one is argueing that NPD has a crappy formula. Their software formula is far superior. But for some reason , be it his growing expierience, new ideas, global outlook, or luck the ioi formula has been equal to or better that of NPD for hardware for the last few quarters. 



Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

I wrote a bunch of stuff.. but decided to not post it because most of them are based on our speculations on ioi's sources. So there's no point.

All I'm asking is a bit more accuracy. By the end of the month we will have about 10 people banned because of ioi's number. And if you think this thread is bad. Just wait and see if NPD shows a completely different number again.

(A)  I was defending a logical statement with and If/Then justification.  I didn't say NPD DOES have "crappy algorithms (or whatever)", but
(B)  If they DON'T, then considering the fact that they DO have a much larger sample size, how do you explain that VGC has been more accurate for considerable periods of time, and had comparable accuracy for most of the rest?  (Obviously not ALL the time but considerable periods of time.)

(A), but by simply assuming NPD has 'crappy algorithms', you throw the idea of 'logical statement' out of the window. You can't base on your assumption on a weak "if statement".

 

(b) VGC has been more accurate for considerable period of time? More accurate than what? NPD?

Damn... not this thing again ... how many times does Ioi has to explain this thing ... if you don't like the numbers then don't come here, Ioi has explained countless times his point of view on this matter, NPD is not always right !.

seriously stop asking this kind of things over and over ... I sa on your profile that you are not a total noob here who just made his account to complain about the numbers ... so you must have seen many threads about the numbers already, and Ioi has responded to almost all of them (if not all ) so please no more crying out about how NPD is perfect and VGChartz must change his numbers :P
