This thread feels deja vu....................

Its basically what Apple is doing with their iPhone with the S Series. Small improvements and additions.

Like every company, they want money. And this is Nintendo's way to get even more money with the 3DS. I cant say what the 3DS sales last/2014 would be without the NEW 3DS. But i can say that without it, the sales would be much lesser.

Processing power & better 3D.

It's just a quick cash grab to keep sales a little higher while they wait to release the NX.

now people might say why double dip but a lot of fans might just be replacing their old broken 3DS. So it's all good.

You know the way the whole 3d fad in general like on tvs,  the ps3, the 3DS is kind of over.  Do you think Nintendo will drop it or do you think it will be part of the NX?

To show consumers what the 3ds could and should have been since the beginning (and money as well)

lets be real here- its not unheard of at all for companies to release sleeker redesigns of the same products that will perform virtually the same. cars, TVs, video game consoles, etc. its nothing new

if anyone purchased a New 3DS and ALREADY had a 3DS then they were taking a gamble as its not as if Nintendo promised a big library of new optimized games for it or anything

Nintendo did the redesign to garner some excitement and push more sales. no different than Sony and having like a million PSP redesigns with tiny changes

exactly.

Its constantly done with all devices. even with software. One Iphone to the next has tiny changes. one Fifa game to the next often as tiny changes. no reason for people to act as if Nintendo is any different than others in this regard

and the New 3DS actually does run a lot better than the previous installment. it just doesn't really effect gameplay much in terms improvement.
