Given one of the main reasons for the New 3DS was to have device that has a second analog nub as well as the built in NFC capability, I think Amiibo is confirmed for NX. Hell I am half expecting one of the future mobile games to be compatible.

That gives me hilarious image where Ninty sells game in form of Amiibo-like figures with encoded NFC chip (For download code) or USB Memory instead of Disk for some reason.
