I'm not going to give IGN flack for their GOTY choice mainly because they had the decency to increase Splatoon's score from 7.9 to 8.6 which I feel was a strong show of respect for that game. Also, SMM is also a very decent title which could end up having a very long and creative life that outlasts even Splatoon. In 5 years time, most people will probably have forgotten about the original Splatoon whereas SMM could still have a very active community behind it. History may yet prove IGN's GOTY pick right

Honestly between these 2 and XCX I don't think you could have went wrong with which is the best Wii U game. Ultimately is all opinions of a small amount of people

It won GOTY overall. Not just PS4 and PC.

Probably! But after receiving solid updates, they raised the score. Suspicious, isn't it?! They clearly like solid stuff, not water. D=

Seeing the Too Much Water meme return here pleases me.

I'd probably give the award to Xeno and SMT Devil Survivor 2 personally...but it's their choice in the end. Mario Maker was also a solid game.
