Forums - Gaming - Should there be an EA/Ubisoft/Activision Tax on the industry?

If they can't make money with DLC, then they will find other means to make back that lost money.. like raising the price for the original game

But then, companies like CD Project wouldn't make good DLC for teh Witcher III anymore.

Would that tax include Amiibos?

This.

Also, games are essentially cheaper than they've ever been....

And more expensive than they've ever been. Dlc is born. I wish there were other ways, perhaps there is. Just have to find them.

You should build a wall around EA/Activision/Ubisoft and make them pay for it.

With such a tax those companies would make even more money by increasing the price on DLC and blaming it on the tax. As if the average gamer could calculate what 45% of something is.

nope because if DLC was more expensive consumers would not buy it then companies like EA will change their tune!

You forgot WB games.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have the Bernie Sanders of the gaming industry! Insane taxes await us all!

only way to stop DLC is to stop buying it lol.

people will pay no matter what the price, we are not kids anymore we can go fuck it just a few dollars more.

just like price of smoke being going up and up and people whinge about it at the start buy seem to buy more than ever lol
