Well, the base it much larger, so there is a bigger chance it will sell better than the Vita version. The main reason I would see this game not selling is because of the art style and MC. People may not be into it, as well as play as a MC like Kat. That's how I see it though o:

what about the artstyle and MC?

It could be something that doesn't appeal to western audiences like it does in Japan, like the style being a bit more on the anime influence. So I feel that it would only sell well to the niche audiences who like that sort of thing. o:

GR will be a success even if it won't sell a lot of copies.
This remastered costed very few to sony and is going to help the sequel.

I'll buy it :)

I think it will do worse than the Vita version, but still be profitable.

Prove me wrong guys buy it!

I will.  BUt I still don't think it will sell very well.  The sequel, on the other hand, should do quite nicely and maybe even give the port a decent sales bump after it releases.  OR maybe Sony will pull a "Bayonetta 2" and offer the first one via digital download as incentive to preorder the second or even pack it in.  That would be awesome!

Even if it doesn't sell well at first, the PS4 catalog will still be enriched by another great PS-exclusive game.

Sony also has several options to use Gravity Rush Remastered to promote Gravity Rush 2:

  • they can offer an attractive Gravity-Rush-1&2-bundle
  • they can offer Gravity Rush Remastered on PSN for a good price when Gravity Rush 2 launches
  • they can put Gravity Rush Remastered in the PS+ program just before Gravity Rush 2 launches

Damn you for thinking my thoughts before I have a chance to think them!

There are so many anime looking games I am pretty sure a market exists if those keep coming.  I dont think the artstyle is going to be an issue for buyers.

Yeah, there are more anime games coming out, but they are still on the low end of sales on the system and they fall on that smaller group. It could be that same group that buys Gravity Daze. I can be proven wrong, but that's just how I see it.

I have to be honest: the way Kat's dressed made me uncomfortable at first, I only got used to it after seeing some vids of the game in action. I fear that this may impact other gamers as well. :S

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

It can see it doing 250k.

Yeah, it is kind of a weird costume, especially with the spirals on her boobs, so I can get that. I like her design though. She is cute xD I dunno if general audiences will be attracted to this game, but I could be wrong. I'd be fine with being wrong even. It looks like an interesting game.

By your definition, it will bomb. However, it's likely not costing them that much to make. It should be profitable.

It'll do ok, but I imagine it's to bring more awareness to Gravity Rush 2 than to capitalize sales on the first game.
