We play a lot of Settler of Catan and Scrabble at my house. Scattegories too sometimes. When we visit families houses all the games come out though and we play:
Risk
Monopoly
Dominoes
Munchkin
Magic:TG
Cranium
Apples to Apples
Rocketville
Buzz Word
Taboo
Scene it

My brother for some reason thinks I collect monopoly games so i've got like a dozen different versions and most of them I havnt even opened yet.

@Final-Fan, no. of tournaments I reckon would be about a dozen. I probably played around 200 people. The best person I ever played was around three years ago, our game lasted 5 hours, we both went near bankruptcy several times. I also have about several different editions of monopoly.

Cranium is a quiz game but has the board game aspects to it. I couldn't think of what I wanted to call those other two haha. There are some good card games that I like to play, Spades and Hearts. I don't want to go into all of the drinking card games that are fun.

We absolutely love Carcasonne and Settlers of Catan

but plenty of others Risk, Pictionary, Balderdash, Scattagories, Scrabble, Boggle, and trivial pursuit the other typical American fare get played.

But the all time greatest is Diplomacy. By far the best game of and type I have played. Problem is it requires 7 people and about 10 hours to play.



Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

Perhaps. I never thought of it that way. I just dont get a chance to play monopoly as often as some other games so I just havnt played them yet. Plus i really like the set up on my Star Wars Ep. 1 game. It has a nice border that latches onto all the deeds and houses/hotels so you dont have to worry about the board getting bumped and junk.
