Having performed polls on the world views of both Donald Trump and Barack Obama, I am now looking to cross-reference them against the users' political identifications. Without this information, I think it's fair to say that those results lack context. As a point of clarification, even if you identify as "Independent," please choose which way you lean.

For the purposes of this poll, "right," will mean favoring the US Republican Party (prioritize fiscal conservatism, religion, deregulation, and laissez-faire capitalism), and "left" will mean favoring the US Democratic Party (prioritize social welfare, secularism, regulation, and socialist/capitalist hybridized economic policies).

Here are links to the Trump (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=212081&page=1#) and Obama (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=212224&page=1#) polls.

You can't put international in the title, then define left as favouring the US democrat party. Both the republican party and the democrat party are far right as far as international politics go...

No love for the centre?
I'm not sure what you mean by "Independent", a bit odd to use American jargon for an international poll.

Firstly, I can do whatever I want, because I live internationally...in the US...

Secondly, I tried to clarify the indentifications, because my aim is to normalize the results of the previous US polls.

I have love for the centre, but it's hard to parse the data and contextualize the other polls without identifying a leaning. Also, I was 4 options short of having an independent category and really would have preferred 8 more (for Ind. Left/Right). Even so, I really don't want to make this a laborious exercise for participants.

That still doesn't change the fact that both major politcial parties in the US are pretty far right. But if what you wanted wasn't peoples actual international political stance, but rather their stance on American politics, then yes, go on.

People also act like PlayStation and Xbox are different, so let the OP have his poll.

On topic: None.

If we weren't super best friends, the title wouldn't have been changed!

Libertarian I'm not republican or democrat.
