also do people realize that stuff like this was used before the Wii Wheel happened ? not only they took a lot of space and din't really improve the experience, but they also cost a LOT, I know because my brother bought one for his PS2 back then...

My favorite gaming periphal connected to a home console / PC is a widescreen display (TV / monitor) ;)
I don't know if it counts as a "peripheral" but Game Genie for the NES / SNES was the shit back in the day!
Also aside from the obvious ones like the Zapper, I also loved the GC's Wavebird controller, and had a ton of fun with the Guitar Hero / Rock Band guitars and drum sets.

I'm not sure, but I would have loved to try this bad boy!
A chainsaw PS2 / Gamecube controller. 
Out of the ones I've owned, Wii Balance Board takes it. I still use it every now & again just because it's around and the bathroom scale broke
I've never had Kinect but have tried it and believe it to be the most useful peripheral released so far. I'm a fan but never had an XBox to use it. Too bad they disowned it
PS VR could out due either tho if proven to be fun / useful. Still extremely hesitant about it

Yes it's real. I have one as well.
Here's a quick youtube video I found of a guy using it. Similarly like the wiimote, tho I don't recall it being as bad as how the guy in the video used it, control wise. I was able to play the game quite well with it, but of course nothing beats using a regular controller =P

Wow, that's actually pretty cool! Thanks for letting us know the existance of this amazing katana/peripheral. Back in the day I'd love to play Onimusha with it, at least to experiment. As I kid I'd be completely shocked/thrilled!
