I don't really see it that way as much, especially the port part.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
Phones first, then Playstation. Or could be the other way, but that's the way I would expect. Releasing old classics on Steam should be on the line at some point too but I wouldn't expect it at first.

Except that's not even the majority, that is only a few if not small handful that turned out bad. Unity was a really bad port but Syndicate actually turned out ok and even got decent reviews over on Steam and review sites. Do not make a bold claim to thinking the majoriy of PC ports are bad vs the small handful that can turn out bad because that's not how it works.

Thank you all for participating in the discussion. I'm glad most of you know the main point I'm trying to make is that on PC Nintendo doesn't pay license fees and is able create and use hardware like the gamepad and TV link.

I think it depends on how Nintendo wants to go at it IF it goes third-party, since it's unlikely to happen anytime soon due to their financial status overall. Remember, Nintendo's first party games are what they are because of their integration with the hardware Nintendo builds for them. Nintendo knows their hardware inside and out and can find ways to create unique experiences because of that familiarity. Would Wii Sports or Mario 64 be what they are if they were on traditional consoles outside of Nintendo's? Probably not. How Splatoon since it has integrated features on the GamePad (ability to see the map and keep score, find teammates for squid jumps, and the motion controls for intuitive shooting and aiming)?
