I wish Vita would get more titles but does it even have the power to emulate PS2 games? As it is, PS2 games that have been ported to run natively (Jak, God of War) have ended up running worse than they did on PS2.

It doesn't even have the buttons according to an earlier post.

The buttons can be emulated using the touch screen as they are with PS1 games.
| solidpumar said: Psvita is a pretty barren place, few games. While that is happening ps4 is getting Ps2 emulation/port from old classics. Imagine if psvita also got that ps2 games with trophies and similar improvements. |
Yeah, THAT was the problem of the vita: no PS2 games with trophies and other improvements (the native resolution for example).
Just ignore PS2 ports/remasters like...
Most of them looked and performed better than the PS2 original, only a few of them had performance issue.
Then we have the PSP-ports/remasters of PS2 games, which run great on the Vita, f.e. Persona 3, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within / Revelation, Prince of Persia: Two Thrones / Rival Swords...
And of course most PS1 games that run great on the Vita and look okay thanks to the small display.

This is the biggest mistake Sony made with the PSVita

I thought people on here didn't want to play games of the past and only play new games?.
Though I totally agree, they should be giving that handheld all the old classics, including Crash, Sly, R&C, J&D games.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

^^^ 100% Correct.
The Vita is a BEAST. Take off the blinds, put the Vitas game library on display and you will see that it's one of the best handhelds of all time. Top 3 for sure.
Vita is barren? Damn I can't keep up with the releases.
That said I wouldn't complain at a few more ps2 ports to Vita.

I would hope that someone with a Tales of Vesperia signature would be able to appreciate the ton of JRPGs that are releasing for the system.

Sorry to offend. I'm not a jrpg gamer. I know vita is making a lot of people happy.. it happened to have the other effect on me.
