Having a pre-evolution as an assist doesn't hurt your chances as Braixen has shown, but I feel like this is probably it for gen 4 fighters as they have three while gens 2, 5, and 6 only have one, and considering gen 6 is the current gen they have to have more, certainly Greninja atleast.

Not that often of course, but having the option is better than not. It'd certainly be useful for the tournament scene if there is one.

Yup. GameFreak plans on having a Pokken Tournament in their Pokemon Video Game Championship this year so they will probably have multiple Wii U and lan cables used there.

I heard that too but I can't find confirmation on any kind of source, do you have any ?

Well, tbh Toxicroak is the only Poison type I could see in the game, but still there's a chance that they could go Chandelure route and chose something like Dragalge or Drapion...

I did it for monster hunter three ultimate. Had some good lan nights with that one, even though we were all forced to connect to the net

I assumed that Pokken was like your usual fighting game, so I was confused on why one player needed to use the GamePad and why LAN is even a thing but it makes so much more sense now.

Anyways it will definitely be a welcome feature at tournies and LAN parties.
