Damn it nintendo this is the kind of content you absolutely don´t lock behind an amiibo. I guess I´ll stick with the wii version of TP

Just imagine playing the whole game with Link dressed as Bayonetta and you see which is the real deal, that or a Cave DLC. |
I would much rather have a dungeon, even a short one. Clothing items and alternate costumes don't interest me at all.

I'll add that it's likely any Zelda themed Amiibo will end up working meaning a number of people here will already have what they need, the data carries over to the new game which means any such Amiibo is not just restricted to one game like DLC is.
| Faelco said: On-disc DLC are a theft and should be banned!.... Oh, it's Nintendo, so it's OK. EA or Ubisoft would be killed for the same thing, but Nintendo is always liked even with moves like that (Awakening DLCs, worst thing I've ever seen, but nobody cares....). I just can't understand how it works. |
With respect to this "Twilight Cave" dlc, considering this game is a remaster of an old but familiar game, people know what to expect from their purchase.
One of the more common fears of on-disc DLC is that some of the content being sold to you was cut out of the base game. It makes people question whether or not they're paying for a complete game. We know that isn't the case with this title seeing as how Twilight Princess is an old game and the amiibo is adding new things to it that didn't exist before.
So you get a free amiibo and bonus dungeon with a physical copy of the game and people are bitching about this?
I don't get it.

its not DLC. its content hidden behind a paywall thats called Amiibo.

i explained this to another user, and it does seem like a very disconcerting phenomena, but this is what is happening:
from my post:
"nearly 100% of the games released on the x1 and ps4 have content that is locked away, and the only way you can use it is to give them more money. well, since there is so much complaining on the internet about how these developers release 80% of a game at full price and try to sell you the rest of the pieces later, supporters of these games are retaliating by trying to make it seem like nintendo is doing the same thing. it doesnt matter if the amiibo (even if you want to say this is "DLC," it is DLC that is physical and valued by the market. meaning you can resell it. ever heard of resellable DLC?) is given to you at no extra cost inside the package itself, they still see it as a golden opportunity to strike in order to make nintendo seem like they are just as low as activision, ea, etc.
its actually pretty clear that this is what is going on. its not that they are actually upset, or that this is a bad deal. their intentions are to convince us that nintendo plays in the mud just like everybody else."

how is it hidden behind a paywall when the amiibo is given to you inside the package itself?

because they jacked up the price of the remaster to a full 60$. too expensive for a remaster of a 10 year old game.
and does the content come in the digital version of the game?
