"the best month yet for Xbox Live global engagement and Xbox One sales in the U.S."

I'm sure everyone can figure out whats wrong with this statement. Every month has to be the best month yet for engagement because sales can't be negative. Quite literally, the more people that buy the Xbox One, the more people that play Xbox One. This is stupid.

Clearly it wasn't the best month for Live 'engagement' in the US. And what an ambiguous word to use anyway. When does spin become grasping at straws?

Know one knows what this means.  I think they use the term because it could mean so many things. I would go as far as to say that this statement doesn't actually mean anything tangible.

Can someone on Gaf ask the guy about PS4 and XB1 1st party. We got full Nintendo numbers but nothing else.

@ Jason - Sorry I couldn't quote properly, it wouldn't let me.

"Cod Still going strong but tis still not as strong as it once was."

This is the COD data to end of First December according to VGC.

MW - 9 weeks - 3.4M

WAW - 8 weeks - 3.89M

MW2 - 8 weeks - 7.857M

BLOPS - 8 weeks - 11.1M

MW3 - 8 weeks - 10.87M

BLOPS2 - 8 weeks - 9.94M

GHOSTS - 9 weeks (7 week xb1 - 8 weeks 9 ps4) - 9.335M

AW - 9 weeks - 7.53M

BLOPS3 - 9 weeks - NPD 8.33M

Defintely a decline showing over this short period. Would you say that the decline could be due to the rise of digital?

The decline is due to franchise fatigue and Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer giving 0 fucks about the quality of their games. It's no coincidence that Black Ops 3 is the first CoD in 5 years to be up compared to the previous entry, Treyarch is the only developer somewhat trusted by the majority of the CoD playerbase. Especially Infinity Ward is hated by a lot of players, I'm expecting a massive decline for the next game no matter how good it actually is, wouldn't be surprised if it's under 6m after 2 months. As someone who's bought all CoD games since MW2 and all map packs except those of AW: Infinity Ward could go defunct tomorrow and I wouldn't give a shit. If Infinity Ward keeps doing things like they did since MW2's launch then CoD would be better off without Infinity Ward.

I actually enjoyed AW because it was innovative due to the new movement system.

I also did, but lots of people definitely didn't. Launch support could have been way better (certain weapons never got nerfed, there were out of the map glitches for months) and IMO weapon variants were an awful idea, at one point this even made the game pay-to-win.

Yes, it's starting to look tad desperate.

So we can safely say xboxone will never catch the ps4?

Noo way it can beat the ps4 next year.edit this year

War is over lets go home ^^.

Not unless it canibalizes itself.

On the other side, it can way higher than all it's predecessors combined, so it's not like it's bad, just not as good...

Did you go into the future to get this. What's more shocking than your time travel ability is that it contains the same games in the same order as the 2015 list.
