I honestly had trouble reaching 10 for this year (still back logged myself), but this is what I came up with:
1. Zelda U: Happy to wait for them to perfect this one but still excited as heck. Easy #1 for me.
2. Stellaris: I absolutely love the paradox grand strategy games and have been longing for a proper game of that genre set in space, so this is a match made in heaven. Now that I think about it this is damn close to #1 for me despite what I just said haha
3. Mount and Blade II: The first one was a really fun, unique experience on a small budget by a largely inexperienced dev team. This one should really be the game they envisioned from the start.
4. Final Fantasy XV: As terrible and uninteresting as the protagonists look the game itself seems promising. I really hope it delivers.
5. Starfox Zero: I'm a big fan of star fox lol
6. Hearts of Iron IV: my buddy and I loved playing III
7. Xcom 2: this probably should have been higher, one of the best Strat games of all time getting a sequel
8. Uncharted 4: I've never played the series as I'm not really into those heavily scripted games, but it's clearly great given the ratings... I should play the other 3 first, but I don't think there's time.
9. No Man's Sky: my expectations for this game continue to drop. At this point I'll be quite surprised if this game doesn't turn out to be one that players quickly get burnt out on akin to Spore... The videos have not inspired much confidence. I hope I'm wrong but I suspect this will be another example of scope being no substitute for content.
10. I don't know... Mario & Luigi Paper Jam? So far this looks like a bit of a slow year for my ps4 and Wii U; gonna be a PC heavy stretch of months.
*edit* I'm sure I'll add some more to this list as I learn more about them. Otherwise, I don't know how I forgot to mention this... Aside from a few stellar games I think this year will be most memorable for our first experiments in VR in general! I'm really looking forward to it; from the looks of things I'll go rift first and Sony VR not long after depending on the reviews for both.
Side note: Sonic Boom sequel in the low 200's with just one point... Sad how far Sonic has fallen.
