- GameStop CEO Paul Raines spoke today at the ICR Conference 2016 in Orlando where he talked things VR

- Raines seemed optimistic about VR and looking forward to sell everything related to VR

- on the breadth of content that will be available for the competing VR devices, he gave the edge to PlayStation VR, saying:

"The more important thing will be the title count at launch,"

"I think that's going to be big. And from what we can see at this point, Sony seems to have the strongest title count."

- on how he sees GameStop in relation to VR he said:

"We think VR is a big part of our future,"

Of course he's gonna say that. His company's profits and by extension his job depend heavily on consoles and console game sales. Sony artificially creating a bonus console can jump GameStop's profits even more, especially if GS hypes it up. Hype's a powerful concept, and it's easy for companies to force onto the public through gullible gamers if The Order or Evolve's pre-launch hype didn't tell you already. Recall that GameInformer is the one who ran those hype trains?
