It's probaly not going to be retro , because they are taking a break. DO you think nintendo will just pick a niche studio like they did with retro or do you think it will be a 1st party game instead of 2nd party. I hope it's a 2d metroid. Dread? That would be nice. Maybe it could be a game other than metroid 2 that actually had metroids commonly in it. So what are your ideas on the next metroid and who will develop it.

Based on the thread quoted in my sig, matt was hinted that it would be Retro, but a completely new game. Not a Prime game in other words.

I'm hoping for a 3rd person perspective game. Definitely closer to Super Metroid in storyline and so on. Not a 2D game though. I like the 3D worlds better.

Insomniac. It will be for the PS3. Biggest E3 announcement ever.

Um maybe it could be over the shoulder lol. I would like that. Then they have a game that could compete with gears. 

 There is a difference between selling a developer and selling a 1st party game that has been with them for 22 years.

I think Metroid's going to take another hiatus. I don't expect another to hit the Wii, but I believe Samus will be included in more collaborated efforts like Smash Bros.

I'm going to say Retro. Why wouldn't they give it to them after three great games in the franchise?
