I think the point he was making is that it's hard to feel sorry for someone who intentionally puts herself in that situation.

I haven't met a feminist that wasn't an insufferable man-hater in 6 years, and I live in the single most liberal city in all of the South (it's practically California now).

But when a man does the same thing, it's because he expects not to be raped by his so called friends or strangers because he's a man. Get over yourself.

Never been wasted at a party because no good decisions come from combining large numbers of mixed company and alcohol. My heavy drinking was exclusively with a select few friends and brothers/cousins.

So to answer your question, no it wouldn't. Thus my desire to not lose the ability to save our comprehend "No" around other people who have lost that same ability.

Back to the claims I responded to. According to a poll from 2014 made before the election 47% identifed themselves as feminists. Now, I may be talking out of my behind when I say this but I'm pretty sure that the amount of man-haters, anti-equality warriors, etc. aren't quite as numerous, which is why I'm quite sceptical to the statements made by Azuren and Groundking, and also the idea that they can or should be represented by the group(s) of radicals you described.

I never said I don't feel sorry for rape victims. I was identifying the grounds on which this was said to better help people from being obnoxiously belligerent.

I never said it was her fault. You jumped to that conclusion because you'd rather be mad than informed. 

Rape is never the victim's fault, however there is a point where we have to admit that doing something stupid will beget consequences. Rapists aren't suddenly going to go away, just like obnoxious feminazis aren't going to go away. All we can do is get better at prevention, which includes educating on the lasting scars of rape, why we shouldn't do it, and how to avoid putting yourself into a position to get raped. 

Prevention is a two way street. Just like you should wear a condom during sex, someone with AIDS probably should be having sex with you in the first place. 

I'm not comfortable with that justification. Just because someone decides to drink doesn't mean we should blame the victim for having a fun night. Rather than saying "well she should have known better" we should all be focusing our energy on the attacker in these situations.
