Idk about merchandise. but like all other companies have a distinct colour that represents their brand. and Nintendo has like white or something idk. but they should make it red. With their logo and so on. Then they should just advertise all their nintendo franchises in lots of cool ways. Like mobile cases. A splatoon smartphone case and more. Also make more ads in cinemas across the world and on commericals on Netflix etc.

I don't like to see Nintendo go this rout. Over saturation is a real thing. They should just focus on making amazing video games and stick with what got them here.

considering how well the Wii U has been selling, this is a good thing more products, no need to be in a box

Totally agree. They should go back to Red, it's more vibrant and interesting than white/grey.
