We all want a true metroid game, prime 4 or the sequel to fusion, i want those as a well. However i wouldn't mind if Nintendo also gave us an expansion of the online multiplayer from Prime hunters. If it offered a decent amount of modes a typical shooter has and some really good maps spanning the whole metroid universe, I could see myself sinking alot of hours into that (much like i did on the DS).

I do think it would be best if this type of game was a stand-alone title.

What do you all think, would you be down?

I enjoyed the multiplayers of prime 2 and hunters so I would be ok.

Federation Force?

I personally haven't played it, but I've heard good things about Metroid Prime Hunter's online, so I think online Metroid would be a great idea.

Only as a spinoff like federation force. or prime hunters. Metroid is a single-player action-adventure game.

Like a MMO?

That could work, but MMOs are usually hit or miss..

Nope. I like the exploration aspect of Metroid games. A multiplayer game would ruin that. Splatoon proves that if Nintendo wants to explore new genres, they can easily come up with new IPs.

How about we avoid metroid spin off's until we get a real metroid

Wouldn't it be better as an online component of the full game? Especially if it was Metroid Prime 4.
