Here are some numbers and comparisons to throw around. Be semi amazed yet not surprised lol. 

(all MC numbers) 

 

*LTD numbers   MK8: 1.187mil  vs Splat: 1.154mil (33k difference) 

*1st year end numbers  MK8: 851k vs Splat: 1.154mil or 1.094mil excluding week 53

 

*1st Holiday Comparison*

Week ##   MK8 vs Splatoon 

Week 49    19.2k    35.2k

Week 50    24.9k    51.1k

Week 51    34.3k    86.3k

Week 52    38.6k    94.9k

Week 1/53 28.4k   60.4k

Total            147k    328k

How much will splatoon sell in 2016? In comparison MK8 sold 336k last year. Splatoon should at least do that Imo. 

 

Last but not least Splatoon  digital is way beyond MK8. Splatoon is definitely passed Mk8 in sales now!

Splatoon to become top selling 8th gen home console game in Japan? What's ahead? Mario Kart and NSMBU?
Final Fantasy has been going down, right? Maybe the long wait and big excitement will help it sell big, but Splatoon big?

1. Depends on FFXV and DQ11 honestly. Only notable ones. 

2. Only NSMbU as Splatoon should be ahead of mk8 with digital

4. Yes but it's a gamble. FF could do anywhere between 1.5mil to 3mil.
