Calvin and Hobbes was the best comic strip. Ever. There can be no argument, there are no other contenders. It just is.

The comic that made me love Calvin and Hobbes. Prefer hobbes out of the two.
Calvin and Hobbes is like the king of rule 34 though. So disturbing.

Both. It's like chosing between right over left - you cannot have one without the other.
With Calvin, I identify with his wild imagination, his yearnings for a more exciting life, his fascination with things gross and terrifying, and his general disdain for doing things as the "ought to be done".
With Hobbes, I identify with his grounded nature, his lack of pretentiousness, his dry wit, his acceptance of his own superiority (even if no one recognized it), and his ability to appreciate life's simpler pleasures.

Interesting. The author proposes that "Jack" and Tyler have the exact same relationship as Calvin and Hobbes, in which case somewhere off panel Hobbes was nailing Suzie Derkins.
@mistrerd, if you remember some of the early susie threads, hobbes had the hots for suzie, but it would only come out while teasing calvin.
good stuff anyway

Oh, I remember the tales quite well. The one that stands out the most in my memory was when Calvin "lost" Hobbes, and after much distress, found him at Susie's tea party.
