There is much more done to Ratchet & Clank than there was with the Gears remake. Gears only got it's graphics remade, Ratchet is literally made from the ground up, and has tons of new weapons, story elements and even levels that weren't in the original.

The cinematics, models, skins, lighting, gameplay were all rebuilt. The gameplay was modernized and set to work at a full 60 fps.

Bolded is all a part of graphics. It may just be that I much more easily notice changes compared to the original R&C, given that I've played it, but R&C features so many changes beyond graphics, while Gears may have some updated controls, but aside from the graphics, the rest of the game is still pretty much the same. Not so for R&C.

So you're saying both games weren't modernized to meet todays standards?

BTW...I cannot wait for R&C and I am watching the movie.

No, I'm saying that there is a lot more changed from the original R&C to the remake than there was from Gears to Gears UE.

The cinematics, models, skins, lighting, gameplay were all tweaked. The gameplay was slightly altered and set to work at a full 60 fps.

I've played botht the original and the remake and this is far more accurate.  The gameplay changed about as much as GoW remasters or TLoU considering those changed to 60fps as well.  Even Halo anniversary ran on the same engine and everything.  Ratchet and Clank the story and scenarios you face are different.  The ones you talked about are Psycho 1960 to Psycho Vince Vaughn changed.  Ratchet and Clank is Star Wars New Hope to Force Awakens changed
