We will see an AC this year. If they had plans for the franchise to rest for a while, they would have said so.

Also, I just had an idea for an AC. Instead of going back in time, you pick present time with an assassin in Las Vegas. You could make the city look bright and colourful, lots of stealth oportunities with crowds, new current-tech gadgets, fighting mafias and organised crime controlling gambling, opportunities to make a crossover with their other franchises, lots of gambling minigames, climbing big casinos and skyscrapers... Have fun with the series, Ubisoft.
