Anything at 500K (for these production values) really isn't a bomb. Especially for a game that is running on a pre-existing engine. They didn't have to alter much from Link Between Worlds, and it's not really aimed at the mainline Zelda fanbase. It's a side game that will not hurt Nintendo. They've probably made profit from it.

Remakes certainly count towards franchise fatigue....

How? They are just throwing games in there for us to play. Nothing is new. We are not getting Mario tennis, golf, new super mario bros, every mario sent to VC, mario world, mario land, MArio , nario, mario olympics...mario , mario, mario, wario, luigi, mario kart, super smash with mario, mario.....

We got some fillers of old games, which you can treat as eshop games other than they are sent to retail. Besides that, we have had one real Zelda game....nearly 5 years ago.

MARIO!!!

That doesn't matter. There are different levels of fatigue and Nintendo is doing very poorly with Zelda this gen. From 2011-2016 we've had about as many releases as from 2000-2011. When you double your output you're going to risk straining the series. Not everything has to be Mario spinoff level to be too much, and you know that spurge.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Yeah, Zelda has a disgusting management this gen.

I don't think there is a franchise fatigue.

Nintendo needs to stop flooding us with remakes, or spin off.

I couldn't care less about TPHD, Majora Mask 3D, Triforce Heroes, Hyrule warriors.....

I just can't wait for the Zelda Wii U to come and I also would immediately buy a new Zelda game like ALBW.

I hope Nintendo learn from these numbers and stop wasting ressources doing Triforce heroes games.

2011 - Ocarina of Time 3D and Skyward Sword.
2012 - Nothing, I guess.
2013 - The Wind Waker HD and A Link Between Worlds.
2014 - Hyrule Warriors.
2015 - Majora's Mask 3D and Tri Force Heroes.
2016 - Hyrule Warriors Legends, Twilight Princess HD and Zelda Wii U.

That's 10 games in 6 years, and I might be missing something.

Yes, only 3 of those games aren't spin-offs or remakes, but it doesn't matter. Franchise fatigue comes from having too many releases, regardless of the nature of each game - I'd argue that flooding the market with small releases like this is even worse when it comes to fatigue than shoving out AAA releases yearly.

Zelda is the new Mario. Disgusting.

So it sounds like the consensus here is that Tri Force Heroes is currently at somewhere around 500k in sales? If that's true, that's not too bad I suppose...

The online community is pretty scarce from like 1 month of release. I'd say this means it bombed. The game is VERY good though.

Zelda is the new Mario. Disgusting.

Has Mario even had that many games in this period?

Two Mario Tennis games, I believe two Mario Karts, 3DL/W, Mario Party 10 and I believe Island Tour, NSMBU/2. That's 10 right there off the top of my head, all of which I'm pretty sure hit in 2011 or later. And I'm not counting Toad or Luigi games and the like, just Mario. So yeah.

Yeah, you're right, but still. Say Mario had like, 20 games. Zelda having half the amount of games as Mario is still sad.

Yep. Zelda was supposed to be the second coming of Jesus, not a cheap spin-off like Triforce Heroes or a remake franchise. Aonuma must step down asap.
