Yeah, the Vita can function as a PS4 controller... and ain't more expensive than a Wii U tablet controller anymore.

Also, the Vita can actually be used on the go, unlike the Wii U Tablet controller which has to be pretty close to the console to function.

Link me to the unofficial app! I'd love to give it a try on my PS4! |
You can either use bluestacks (Android Emulator) + the Xdev version of the android hack for FREE (I don't think i'm allowed to post the link to the hack)
OR
You can use the following link to buy an actual PC app for ~$8-10 USD (I'm not entirely sure I'm allowed to post this either... if not just edit it out Mods):

Oh, but you can't actually play any games using an andriod tablet to the ps4 though I'm fairly sure? Just access your account and the store pretty much from what I've read. Vita is the way to go for actually playing the games of the system.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

That is incorrect. You can officially remote play the exact same as the vita on either of the methods i mentioned above.
FYI, a generation 2 (not launch) version of the DS4 can natively tether to an android device (I think 5.2 and beyond). You do not need a cable, or any additional app.
The hacked android app is literally a hack of the OFFICIAL Xperia remote play app that sony released. The developer just took the apk and removed the software restrictions so that all android devices can play it.
The PC unofficial app is a port of the android app I believe. The developer reverse engineered the app to work natively on PC.

Partner - If you are never in the same room spending time together, they feel isolated and it creates distance in the relationship. Even if you aren't doing the same activity, being in the same room leads to some minor conversation and can help (even more so if married).
Kids - It is important to be in the same room as small children, where you can at least keep a partial eye on them and be observant of what they are doing.
*** I actually have my own TV and couch in the basement (where my PS4 normally remains), but currently while my wife is out of the country -- I remote play my PS4 in the living room, while the kids are playing and watching a kid show. This is especially important when i'm playing an adult game that the kids SHOULD NOT see.
