I hope the TV show spoils the books. That will teach those books to spoil so many movies.

George R.R. Martin is late releasing a book?

Well, that is the problem in tie-in with a much faster media when you didn't finish your part. Happens all the time with Manga. The best solution usually would be to hold the season, but on prooftability they either put a lot of useless filler, slow the pace and show more details, give flashbacks or in this case seems like follow the directions George gave and/or make the series follow a completely different path.

I'm honestly surprised that he's that close to being done. I was always under the impression that he'd barely scratched the surface and would never finish. He just doesn't have the drive anymore, and if books 4 and 5 are any indication, he's completely run out of creative steam.
