Not only have you payed for online but Xbox Live hasnt even offered free games at all during the 360 era and it was needed to use youtube and other services.

I much rather live during a generation where Sony wins rather than MS, and yes they won last gen the 360 sold more software than the Wii. Under Sony games get like FF7, Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, a new Castlevania,  aNew Megaman, Bloodborne, Kojimas new game are being made and revived. This generation is allready better than last gen which was complete trash last gen.

Software sold is not and never has been the metric for a generation's winner. 

Unbelievable that in 2016 people are still trying to deny Wii's victory.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I never stated the Wii lost the last gen. But with the Wii, it gave Nintendo the sense that going casual would always work. Turns out, it doesn't.

That's not really the Wii's fault though, it's Nintendo's for not reading the change in the market. Being successful in one generation is never a guarantee that the approach you used will always work, that's why Sony don't make the same kind of games they made on the PS1. Nintendo just failed to adapt.

So despite having sold more hardware, the Wii lost last gen? That like saying the DS lost last gen to PSP if it didn't sell more software than PSP..or that the SNES didn't beat Sega because it didn't outsell it in NA. As much as we like to nitpick things, the Wii still outsold PS3 and 360. Even though the software sales are not as great as 360's (I don't know how much 360 sold in terms of software), its still pretty damn good. The Wii is probably going to be the only home console in history to have a top 7 have sold at least 20+ million (regardless if they're bundled or not).

Did I state that? No. But what I said was truth, the Wii had awful software sales, and hit a wall years before the other 7th gen consoles did. Yes, it sold the most in terms of hardware, no one is denying it. But its a win that's a loss (if you get what I mean).
