Do all of the sub-50M PS4 people want to revise their prediction now?

Yeah, didn't expect PS4 and Wii U finish this stong. Thus, here are my old numbers:

Bofferbrauer said:
PS4: 49.5M
XBO: 26M
Wii U: 16.3M
3DS: 62M
Vita: 14.4M

And here my new ones, with the changes:

PS4: 52.5M (+3M)

XBO: 26.5M (+500k)

Wii U: 17M (+700k)

3DS: 63M (+1M)

Vita: 14.7M (+300k)

Around the Network

PS4 53 M
XBO 27 M
WII U 15.5 M
3DS 62 M
Vita 15.5 M

I Think that Playstation 4, will sell 60 Millions.

Xbox One will be Something near 25 Millions.

if Nx Did not launch so Wii U, will end the year with more than 15 Millions, because of the New Zelda Game.

3 DS over 75 Millions

Playstation Vita, over 14 Millions.

But we still dont Know how a Nintendo NX, or the New VR System will affect Xbox One, and Playstation 4's Sales, this will be the Hardest Prediction to make Since the 8 Generation's Launch.

And you've yet to provide a solid reason as to why (as did he). Others have already said why they believe that won't happen. So, I'd like to hear why there's an opposing view.

I don't have one.

My gut told me.

End of story.

A story that doesn't exist? Got it.

Haven't you ever used your instinct before?  It is the mechanic I am using to derive my prediction.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

How this will be a Slow Year ? you Predicted a YOY Drop in sales for Playstation 4, when Early this year we already will have Street Fighter V, and Uncharted 4 (the remaster sold more than 3 Millions), and we also have a Final Fantasy XV Launch, that will sell the Most on Playstation, so you need to Base your Oppinion in Some Facts Besides your Will.

And we are a quite Lose here because we dont Know Xbox One's Official Numbers, Isn't agaist the Law Microsoft, Hiding the numbers for so much time ? They will have to Tell the Numbers on the end of the Financial Year, or if they want they will never Say the Numbers Again ?.

PS4 had hit 35.9M by the end of 2015, so it's averaged 17.95M each year, without the level of huge exclusives coming in 2016. I think it will easily sell 22M this year, so I think 57.9M by the end of 2016 for that, could even hit 60M with everything slated for this year.

I think XBox One is going to take a bit of a dive with Sony having so many new AAA exclusives and just a generally more massive library of new games, particularly the big stuff like Uncharted 4, Ratchet, The Last Guardian and Horizon (I think this is very unlikely to be delayed).
For Xbox One I see it maybe at 26M by the end of 2016 and I think that's being kind, the volume of exclusives just isn't there to differentiate it from PS4.
PS4 has a much bigger and better line-up of new content, along with a generally bigger line-up of already released games. Sony has the 3rd party crowd basically locked up too.

For Wii U maybe 15M, but if NX is a new console in part and that's announced as coming in 2016 at E3 2016 then I think it could be lucky to hit 14M. I'm of the opinion that any of the Wii U exclusives will likely play on NX and Zelda in particular is going to have a better version on NX, perhaps that's even been moved to NX at this point.

I am completely aware that there are many who will disagree, but, I believe it could happen.

Well, not exactly. Don't forget the PS4 already made several millions during it's launch in 2013 which need to be deduced. The average lies more around 15.5 millions because of this. However, it is likely that 2016 will be the PS4 peak year, considering the announced exclusives, so 20 millions or even slightly more are still possible.

Playstation 4, sold over 18 Millions Last Years, and with Street Fighter, Final Fantasy XV, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, and Gran Turismo Beta, you think that will only be 10% YOY ?, Remember that Uncharted Collection, already sold more than 3 Millions of Units, and most of then from Bundles.

Up until now, the ps4 has sold more than the Xbox one and wii u COMBINED. Suddenly it's supposed to lose next year to Xbox one? I don't know if you're serious

I just can't see PS4 doing less than 20 million, excellant lineup of games with VR

The XboxOne's lineup doesnt look that strong

The Wii U well? theres zelda I suppose, in truth Nintendo have given up and are betting on the NX

PS4 59 M
XBO 26 M
Wii U 13 M
