I'd rather CD do what they do with a publisher than a console company, especially since TR is a multiplat franchise.

It's not selling as a MPlatform should be anyway. Pretty sure ND's prestige could carry or restore Tomb Raider IP since Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics damage their brand.

That doesn't matter, there is no valid reason why a game like TR should be bought up by Sony and sold only on Sony platforms, there are other "prestige" studios out there that could do a good job, ND is not the end all to be all of story telling or action adventure games.

If you think a franchise not selling tens of millions is extremely bad and it needs to be made exclusive then you've got overblown expectations and projections.

Ehh what devs are there that could actually restore Tomb Raider to its classic reputation other than Naughty Dog? I mean tell me?At this point, Tomb Raider will be a frozen IP because the damage has been done thanks to the holiday exclusivity they did last year.

It's not about exclusivity, though. It's just fixing brand perception. If Square sells Tomb Raider or Crystal to Sony since they get to do with games up their alleys.

Ehh why? Uncharted didn't need to sell 10M to become successful too. If SE sells Tomb Raider to Sony then it's their right to keep things exclusive. It's only logical.

Plus a smaller release means lower budget And ND is a master at tight budget management without quality sacrifice.

And Sony could fix the continuity issues with Uncharted because ND's 1st team or whatever team will probably be focusing on TLoU.

Plus it's cool if Lara and Nate crossover too. It's a win-win imo.

Anyway, I'm just saying it since Uncharted IP could be frozen in the next few years and there's no Dev Team in Sony that could honestly actually push the IP to decent reputation after ND other than Crystal Dynamics.

Guerrilla Game's Horizon looks very promising. We shall see if it holds up. I've always loved Killzone(Shadow Fall was a let down though) so I have high hopes.

I'd rather GG focus on their new IP tbh.

I'd like to name some but I feel we're not going to get anywhere by doing so (You sound very on point with only ND being the single known devs in the entire industry of thousands of devs).

Beforehand TR wasn't doing well until CD tepped in some years later, other devs can do the job without having to be bought up by a console company.

Well you claim it's not about exclusivity and yet Sony owns ND and the team, if they bought CD and the TR franchise then that would make it exclusive to Sony which means it is about exclusivity and not about it's rep, if it was about a games rep then pull a SFV (which is pulling a move similar to TR currently anyway by denying other platforms which does sully it's image to other crowds like it or not). "SE sells Tomb Raider to Sony then it's their right to keep things exclusive", then you do want it to become exclusive and make it a thing for their side than simply "repairing" it;s image so all can play it, again that just won't bode well for the franchise in total if you take a once multiplat franchise and make it exclusive to just one console, just imagine the massive uproar that you'd get if Sony snatched the Fallout or ES franchise.

End of the day you just don't perma stach a multiplat franchise to make it exclusive to a console. If budget control is your main concern then hire better people who handle and dispense with said budgets along with technologies that don't cost you your very soul.

You think it's a win-win, I think it's a lose-lose because it kills a multiplat franchise and it kills interest for fans on other systems, if you think it's good to take a multiplat franchise and make it exclusive then I think it;s good for other franchises to go exclusive to other systems, including PC if we wish to think such a stance is objectively good for everyone.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Crystal gets to continue with Uncharted 5

Either ND makes Uncharted or nobody does!

Ehh I really don't care sis. You sound so annoyed at the thought of exclusivity when the truth is I don't think it matters. You can always use Playstation Now if it releases on PC anyway. Could be a great deal to enthused PC gamers to subscribe to PS Now.

I'm just saying Uncharted IP could move forward with CD and ND could fix Tomb Raider.

It doesn't matter what you think cause if Sony decides to buy an IP to revive it back, then no one has the right to tell Sony to make it multiplatform.

I mean with the state of Rise of Tomb Raider being bundled free to NVIDIA cards, no one's gonna pay for the next Tomb Raider games at full price anymore. They're just gonna wait on a flash sale discounts etc. Simply a tragic outcome for Square Enix. A tragic outcome for Tomb Raider fans too if SE decides to kill the franchise.

sis?.

It's not that I;m annoyed, it's that I believe that a multiplat franchise shouldn't be bought up by another company because you end up locking other people out of playing said games and force a strong arm towards those that aren't invested in other platforms (you would honestly not bother with PC gaming for example if your ffave franchises upped and went towards it, you would show some contempt regardless).

Thing is I don't want to use PS now, I'm not invested in the PS brand ther way you are, I'm invested in PC as my main platform for being an open non corp owned platform. That and I;m not a fan of "subscribing" to streaming systems let alone paying such a sub, just not my thing.

I don't care what you think if Sony buys it, still won't stop me from saying it's a bad move and a abd thing for gamers not with the Sony brand. (you sound begrudged by making the "don't care/doesn't matter what you think line).

"rumoured" - http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-rise-of-the-tomb-raider-bundle/

Nvidia is paying money for those to get bundled in the end, someone is footing a portion of the bill regardless of what you claim, someone is always paying for something in the end. Also you sound like you're directly pinning this on PC and XBox players, it wouldn't surprise me really since you're very into Sony  getting this brand and fobbing off the other two user-bases entirely while blaming both and their respective parts manufacturers.

End of the day it's bad for Sony to snatch it up, I find it hypocritical how anyone thinks it's fine for Sony to buy everything but no one else to do the same to an etreme degree.

If you don't like opposition in opinions then there is no need to go with "sis" or "I don't care what you think, you'll have no right to say", you could just not reply to what I have to say but you could at least be more formal and not be quick to scuffing out other options (because that's what you've been doing since the start).

Ummm if something gets bought legally, I don't care if its multiplatform or not since it's bought legally. You bought it, it's yours. It's not like it is a medicine patent for AIDS anyway that people are gonna die because it's exclusive to a platform lol. Haha

Really? Are you naive? It's a business idea that I find interesting that Sony could have if they want to continue Uncharted 4 with developers with fine track record or ND to untarnish Tomb Raider rep. Make it a classic once again. Like that. No hidden agenda.

Nintendo fans be like buy Capcom, SE, Konami etc and no one's hurling crap on them. So no. It's just normal for companies to snatch or absorb companies.

The fact you get oversensitive with an idea that won't really hurt you cause if you buy a PS4 anyway, you could still play it. People will decide with money if it's worth it. No one cares about what you think or if you'll buy it.

Would you be mad if I said, dude or bro? The PC-ness of yours is amazing. Haha

A) Nobody but Naughty Dog touches Naughty Dog games.

B) if Sony had a need for Tomb Raider, then the exclusivity deal with Microsoft wouldn't have happened.

would be a waste of money.
