And thats why BC is nowhere near to be a killer app people.

Remasters are amirite

Buy your owned games again aswell

How about just not getting rid of your old hardware. I keep hearing this argument that this sloppy patchwork BC is better than nothing at all.

It's actually not, it's REALLY not.

I have all my old hardware at home

Why we buy new hardware ?

Exactly for new games and experiences and not for old remastered games

And bring not the argument that most ps4 buyers are former wii and 360 players

This argument is complete BS and only PR from this sony guy that i dont like

There is no "instead". The making of a port/remaster doesn't take away resources of new games.

With popular titles (like Halo Reach) the port pays for itself, so financing it (additional to new games) is no problem. And it can be done by another developer.

Yeah its good for the developer financially but bad for us gamers

We paid our new shiny consoles for remasters or for new games ?

The misconception is that somehow making a remaster stops any new titles being made.....it does not. Many of the larger companies have "Technology Teams" they have been using remasters as a way to reconfigure/upgrade their engines to work with the PS4. So the work needed doing anyway, and will only make their new games stronger. They get a financial kick back from making the remaster, and those users who want it, or havent played it before gets to play a new game.

Sony have also been using 3rd party companies to do the remaster, so I am not sure where the problem is. Would I rather wait for UC4 to be finished, or would I like to play the UC Collection now on PS4 while I wait. I'd rather the 2nd.

Making games is a difficult process, and as you can imagine isn't quick. Sony have a range of 3rd party, 2nd party games coming out, but 1st party have taken longer, AAA games always seem to get problems at launch of a new console gen. So why not fill some of that gap with remasters.

So give me more remasters I say, I would pay for Read Dead, all the GTA's again, convert all the God of Wars, I'm there.... :D

Yes of course :D

I own all the GTA's at least twice (maybe three times). Just purchased GTA3/VC and San Andreas on PS2/PS4 emulation, but would rather have a proper remaster.

I didnt get into God of War until 3 (was the first one I played), then I got all of them.

Red Dead is an awesome game, completed it as well as the DLC, would definately play it again.

It's got nothing to do with being proud. I like games, I like lots of games, I like replaying old games... I dont see what the problem is?

I probably buy more brand new games every year than many people who frequent gaming forums, so I dont know why me liking remasters is a problem, because I still buy a crap ton of games.

The average console game owner ship is what say 5 games per console, I have over 50 PS4 games at the moment... (its difficult to track), some of those are remasters, but there are also lots of news games in there. Even if i took out the remasters, I probably still have 5 times (probably more) Ps4 games than the average user.

So dont be too judgemental on people who buy remasters, you dont like them, fine, but dont think that the only people who buy them are people who dont buy anything else or play anything else... and dont believe the hype from some quarters that the only games that are available are only remasters, cause thats BS also.
