I think motion controls were great and they should have been better built upon as technology got better after the Wii. Wii Sports (and Resort), Wii Fit, and Skyward Sword were pretty intuitive and I want to see how it could get better. There were flaws in 7th gen in terms of motion controls so there was a base in which developers could've built upon to see where motion controls could go.
I wouldn't say GTA is overrated, but I just don't really know what's so great about it. I've seen gameplay of recent games and I've played a few hours of Vice City and I think they're alright. Nothing spectacular, but they're pretty good.
Metroid Other M is actually not as bad as people on the internet really claim it to be. Yeah, it has problems, but I think people over-exaggerate their issues as if the game was just as bad as games like Ride to Hell or something along that line. I actually think Samus really showed how much of a superhuman she is described to be. I like her athleticism and her ability to do certain things I couldn't do in games like Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, or Metroid Fusion. And the bosses were actually pretty tough and I like some of the music like this game's version of Ridley's theme.
Finally, I think the Wii was a better console than "hardcore" gamers give it credit for. You cannot tell me that the Wii was just a "casual" console or that Nintendo neglected long-time gamers. Especially when it had games like the Galaxy games, Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros. Brawl (despite it's flaws), Metroid Prime Trilogy, Punch-Out!!, Sin and Punishment 2, Xenoblade, Zelda Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess, Wii Sports and Resort, Excite Truck, Red Steel 2, Madworld, The Conduit, Dead Space Extraction, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Endless Ocean, Epic Mickey, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Return to Dreamland (and Epic Yarn), NBA Jam, Muramasa, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Battalion Wars 2, Sonic Colors, Monster Hunter Tri, Animal Crossing, Okami, Resident Evil, etc. Yeah there's no GTA, Metal Gear, Assassin's Creed, etc., but there was a solid combination of great games and hidden gems on Wii that tend to get overlooked.
