jojo sells more on PS3? I thought we'd be seeing the end of these last gen ports but in Japan some games are still doing better on PS3 and PS vita is making the ps3 ports more likely too.

Japanese gamers tend to hold on to old consoles and support them for a very long time.

Based on what?  That is not what i have seen happen in the past at all, unless you're referring only to the PS2 and PS3.  PS2 mainly because of the failure of the PS3 for so long.  Systems in the past would launch first in Japan and Japan has always been known for adopting new technology quicker than other places.

How long did the NES last there? Dreamcast? lol

i mean i can tell you why it's happening, the rise of the handheld in Japan and the piggybacking of next gen handhelds with previous gen home systems and last gen the PS2 piggybacking with the wii kept it alive a long time.

Are you serious?  They died out faster than in the west.  Have you even seen the dreamcast sales?  The DC died in Japan soon after launching in the west.  I know you are referring to them making a small amount of indie games on DC but the system was dead long before that.  Japan adopted the DC early and dropped it quickly, terrible example.  The NES was relevent in the US for longer than in Japan (didn't catch on in Europe as good), again you're just talking about them manufacturing consoles but people in Japan moved onto the SNES quickly, faster than elsewhere which is what i'm talking about.
