Apple, Google, Microsoft + Sony

 


Sony is no longer really a tech 'giant'. they aren't competitive at all in the current big tech industries (computers, phones, etc.)

 

Samsung, Google, Apple would all be unaffected if Microsoft acquired Sony. Sony's main power at this point is in their entertainment sector, video games + films + some electronics (SOME)

You're not messing with the Studio. You're messing with the whole company. This is the same company that was able to bail out Greece if they wanted and the same company that has the money to annex Tokyo. 

 

Sony Corp is currently bigger then MS Corp. It may change in the next few years. And of course MS makes more money then Sony. But to acquire Sony Corp would be absolutely massive.

It would be like GM buying Toyota. More then doubling your employment, revenues, etc.

It is not. If you're referring to staff, then it's not a problem. MS literally dwarves Sony in everything except staff numbers.

Those laws protect key firms like carmakers. Sony is not under that protection.

They never promised backwards compatibility. Just that they'd bring PS2 games on PS4 with emulation. That's a misinterpretation on your part ...

Quoting the forums isn't enough, I want a source ... 

No evidence just means FUD spreading in the end ...
